STEVEN A. SASLOW
Steven A. Saslow serves as a Senior Advisor to Kaufman & Company. Mr. Saslow is a visionary media, information, and technology entrepreneur with a career spanning over four decades. Known for his innovative approach and deep industry knowledge, Mr. Saslow has consistently driven the commercialization and scaling of high-potential media platform technologies, leaving an indelible mark on the media and technology landscape.
Mr. Saslow is CEO and President of True North Entertainment, which helps banks and private equity firms identify and evaluate investment opportunities in the media and telecom sectors, with a focus on enterprise values over $200 million. Mr Saslow previously served as advisor to Sinclair Broadcast Group, where he assisted the CEO in the development of Sinclair Media Networks, the creation of OTT/CTV initiatives, and the evaluation of strategic acquisitions for the company.
Additionally, Mr. Saslow founded two successful multimedia companies, ThinkVisual and Rosebud Media, both of which reflect his passion for innovation and storytelling. He also served as CEO of Verance Corporation, a company specializing in watermark technology that has been integral to content security and distribution. Through these ventures, he showcased his ability to leverage new media formats and technologies to create compelling content and transformative user experiences. His entrepreneurial ventures have consistently demonstrated his commitment to pushing the boundaries of what media can achieve.
Previously, Mr. Saslow was Chairman & CEO of SJS Entertainment Corporation, a dominant production, distribution, and advertising/sales company providing services to over 6,000 radio stations in all popular formats. Programming included mornings prep services, live “World Premiere” and live concert programming, promotions, and sponsorships across music genres; the company sold advertising and promotions to many of the top 200 advertisers and their agencies. In addition, it created “1-800-music now”, the first ever interactive music service, which was ultimately acquired by MCI. SJS was successfully acquired by SFX Entertainment, where Mr. Saslow was retained as EVP in charge of SFX Networks operations.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Saslow played key roles in some of the most prominent organizations in the media sector, including Group W Satellite Communications, NBC, and SJS/SFX Entertainment. His work in these companies involved pioneering efforts in sales, marketing, and programming, where he demonstrated a keen ability to anticipate industry trends and deliver results that aligned with the evolving needs of the market. His contributions during this period helped shape the trajectory of satellite communications and entertainment programming.
Mr. Saslow holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting and economics from Hofstra University. He is an avid and experienced pilot, active member of his community, as well as a board member of the International Television and Radio Society.
