KEN R. ROSSANO

Kenneth R. Rossano serves as a Senior Advisor to Kaufman & Company. Mr. Rossano’s career in the financial industry includes twenty-eight years as a senior executive with the First National Bank of Boston, now Bank of America, where he was instrumental in the formation of several nationally recognized public/private partnerships, including the Boston Compact and the Boston Plan for Excellence in the Public Schools. Active as a commercial lender to large and small companies in New England and in metropolitan New York, Mr. Rossano was a director of several of the Bank’s early-stage venture companies and its Canadian specialty-lending subsidiary. A former chairman of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, he was influential in the formation of the Massachusetts Business Roundtable. He also held the position of longtime treasurer of the Vault, a unique Boston organization.

Founder and chief executive officer of Rossano Resources, a consulting and early-stage venture investment firm, Mr. Rossano has also served as a director of Active International, Inc., a large corporate trading company, and treasurer of the Business Development Corporation of New England, and an advisory board member of Innoveas AG, a global research and venture capital company based in Germany specializing in tech transfer for major European universities. In addition, he has had broad board and management experience with Arthur D. Little, Inc., Hooper Holmes, Inc., Korn Ferry International, Cassidy & Associates, Venture Investment Management Company (VIMAC), and the Massachusetts Higher Education Assistance Corporation.

Mr. Rossano’s many civic activities have included trusteeships or directorships of McLean Hospital, Partners HealthCare, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and First Literacy; and he is a founder of the Wellesley Education Foundation. Mr. Rossano is chairman and founder of the Maple Leaf Foundation, and chairman emeritus of the New England-Canada Business Council. A graduate of Harvard University (AB), which he serves as his class secretary along with participating on varied committees, he also holds the degree of MBA from Columbia University.
