Frank A. Sola serves as a Senior Advisor to Kaufman &
Company. Mr. Sola has over 30 years of strategic,
operational and investment experience in professional
services, integration services, and software products
markets. He is the founder and President of Sola and
Company, an advisory and consulting firm specializing in
strategy development for software, integrated services and
professional services companies. He also serves as CEO of
ViaTech Technologies, Inc., an Internet software
infrastructure company focused on providing security,
license management, and e-commerce services for the
distribution of digital content via the Internet to
publishers of software products, gaming products, and media
and entertainment content.
Previously, Mr. Sola was CEO and President of SystemSoft
Corporation, where he had been hired by the board to
turnaround this troubled developer of OEM system software
for the mobile computer market serving primarily IBM,
Toshiba, and Siemens. Prior to SystemSoft, Mr. Sola was
President and owner of Service Strategies, Inc., a
consulting firm specializing in strategy development for
hardware, software and services companies, serving clients
such as Lotus Development Corp, AT&T, Paradyne, Computer
Associates, and Legent Corporation. He also served as Vice
President of Extended Support at Cullinet Software, Inc.,
where he established a services support division to provide
installation and customization services for the company’s
application and systems software products. Previously, Mr.
Sola founded and served as President and COO of Computer
Partners, Inc., a comprehensive professional services firm
which he grew to 300 employees and sold to Computer Sciences
Corporation in 1986.
Mr. Sola holds a B.S. in Management Engineering from
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has served or is
currently serving as a Director of AMD Telemedicine (a home
healthcare products and services company), Intersolv
Corporation (a software-configuration-management products
company), C.W. Costello & Associates (a systems integration
and consulting firm), SystemSoft, and Trustee of The Rivers
School of Weston, MA, the Charles River School, and the
Dover Church in Dover, MA.
